Our mission is to nurture a safe and thriving community in the 16th Street Corridor in the Mission District and the American Indian Cultural District of San Francisco.

The situation

The 16th and Mission corridor has become lawless

Since late 2024, the streets and alleys between Guererro and South Van Ness and 15th and 17th Streets have been in rapid decline.

Constant open-air drug sales, substance abuse, encampments, illegal vending of stolen goods, and violence have created an unsafe environment for residents, workers, and businesses.

While none of these issues are new to the area, the pace and severity of change is overwhelming the neighborhood.

Urgent action with measurable results is required from the city to address this complex situation.
